Experience

Ms. Hardin has 17 years experience in general civil litigation, including Insurance Defense, Premise Liability Defense, Worker’s Compensation and maritime law involving personal injury/death litigation, cargo claims, maritime contract disputes, and passenger vessel defense and regulatory issues.

Background

Born and raised in New Orleans, Emily was happy to return home, after undergraduate studies at Spring Hill and receiving her Juris Doctor from LSU, to represent a variety of clients in both maritime and general civil litigation, including family businesses New Orleans Steamboat Company and Café Beignet. Her reported cases include Martinez v. Marlow Trading, S.A., 894 So.2d 1222 (2005); Richardson v. Louisiana-1 Gaming, 55 So.3d 893 (2010); Louisiana-1 Gaming v. Rogers, 76 So.3d 81 (2011); Richert v. Schindler Elevator Corp., 97 So.3d 487 (2012). She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the Federal Bar Association. Ms. Hardin was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2001, and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, Louisiana federal district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Outside of the practice of law, Emily is married and the mother of three children, enjoys spending her free time with her family, and is an active volunteer in her church community.
